OVERVIEW

Autism Spectrum 360 Initiative is a comprehensive web portal for individuals on autism spectrum, their families, and the community  for information, resources, and support. The initiative is a partnered alliance between Seattle Children’s Hospital, University of Washington Medicine, and the University of Washington.

INFORMATION PROBLEM

Different user groups from Autism community need to have personalized experiences on website:

Parents of children with autism: diagnose valuation stage, clinical information based on geography within 25 miles, specialist waitlist optimization, social media support hub, financial support.

UX

USER NEEDS

First responders -Trainings and professional practices, hub for nurse practitioners, school programs.

Researchers: Family participants information, recent research, volunteer groups.

Employers -Job recruiting based on geography

Adult Living with Autism - Employment, housing, SSI, social groups, health care assistance.

Users can be overwhelmed by complex system and  need to have simple clear navigation on the website where to start and what to look for. They need to be guided to the necessary autism information based on user group.
